Inspiring the Next Generation of Scientists

Our outreach programme connects the University of Southampton’s Chemistry and Chemical Engineering community with schools, teachers, and the wider public. We aim to spark curiosity, support education, and share the excitement of chemistry through hands-on activities, events, and resources.

Whether you’re a teacher, student, or member of the public, there are many ways to engage with us:
•    Book a school visit or workshop
•    Join our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions for teachers

Our program is run by our Director of Outreach, Dr Matthew Partridge with admin support by Dawn Dunlop. Our activities are delivered by staff and students from across the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering.
