Module overview
Computing and data are transforming every area of engineering, from designing smarter products and analysing complex systems to developing artificial intelligence and digital twins. This module introduces the computational and programming skills that underpin modern engineering practice.
You will learn how to write programs, analyse and visualise data, and apply computational methods to solve engineering problems efficiently and accurately. As you build your coding and analytical skills, you will gain experience of using programming as a practical engineering tool to support modelling, decision-making and evidence-based design.
By the end of the module, you will have the confidence to develop computational solutions to engineering problems and interpret engineering data effectively, providing an essential skill set that you will build upon throughout your degree and in your future engineering career.
