Mentoring

Mentors work with students to identify barriers to learning and develop personalised study strategies. Some things that mentors can help with include:

We work with an external company, Amano, to provide short-term mentoring support. This is available by recommendation only, following a practitioner appointment with the Student Wellbeing or Student Disability and Inclusion Team.

Neurodivergent students and/or those with disabilities (including mental health conditions) may be able to access longer term mentoring through Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA).

Please contact the Student Disability and Inclusion Team for more information via The Student Hub.

Student Disability and Inclusion also offers mentoring through our Inclusive Support Ambassador Programme; ISAs are fellow students who have been trained by the Student Disability and Inclusion Team to offer peer-to-peer support. Our Inclusive Support Ambassador page has further information.
