My current research focuses on the development and optimization of microbial fuel cells (MFCs) for sustainable energy generation.
After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics, she obtained a Master’s degree in Biotechnology. Throughout her academic training, she developed a strong foundation in molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, fermentation technologies, and bioreactor systems. She is currently studying her PhD at the University of Southampton under the supervision of Prof. Yannis Ieropoulos. Her doctoral research focuses on environmental biotechnology, sustainable bio-based systems, and innovative approaches that integrate environmental pollutant removal with energy recovery.
