About
Dr Keji Fan completed her PhD in Education at Durham University in December 2024. Her doctoral research included a systematic review comparing the critical thinking of Chinese students with peers from other backgrounds, and a large-scale randomised controlled trial evaluating the impact of infusion teaching on secondary students’ critical thinking skills and academic achievement.
Her research interests span critical thinking, school-based education interventions, evidence-based education, and methodological innovation in randomised controlled trials and systematic reviews. She has three years’ experience as a Research Assistant at the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), where she was based in the Evidence Synthesis team and reviewed a range of educational interventions targeting student outcomes such as literacy, mathematics and metacognition. She is currently working with Christian on methodology issues in education evaluations.
