  • Disability Now! Conference
Disability Now! complements the overarching ethos of UK Disability History Month: Awareness and Celebration. While the national theme for 2025 invites reflection on the rights and experiences of disabled people, focusing on Disability Life and Death, the symposium aims to showcase the important work currently being done now by those with lived experience. Through a series of presentations and other activities, the conference will highlight how people across all ages are actively shaping education, services, and wider society today.
The University invites submissions from across our community - academic and professional services staff, postgraduate and undergraduate students, and community partners - for contributions to a symposium on 18th November which will launch the 2025 Disability History Month (UKDHM). You can submit an abstract here before 27th October.

This will be a hybrid event, to attend the symposium please register for either an in-person or online-only ticket.
