The STEER Collaborative brings together University of Southampton researchers with partners working on different aspects of addressing population health inequalities and investigating the wider political, social, economic, environmental, and commercial determinants of health to:

  • Share and develop common research interests
  • Explore interdisciplinary innovative ideas
  • Develop fit for purpose transdisciplinary methods
  • Act as a springboard towards strategic transdisciplinary research programmes
  • Transform siloed approaches to health inequalities research into transdisciplinary innovative approaches

We research prevention of disease, reduction of health inequalities and optimisation of health and wellbeing for whole populations across the lifecourse, in the UK and internationally.
