About the trial
Find out about the MultICath Trial
MultICath aimed to find out whether using a mixture of re-usable catheters and single-use catheters is as safe and acceptable for intermittent catheterisation as using only single-use catheters.
We are pleased to report that we have completed the MultICath trial.
The results are currently available as a summary or abstract.
The results show that reusable intermittent catheters are safe and cost effective and, for those who wish to use them, should be offered to patients by the NHS.
MultICath participants, thank you for taking part!
We are continuing our intermittent catheter research. If you would like to know more, please contact Margaret Macaulay m.macaulay@soton.ac.uk
