Dr Corine Driessens is a Principal Research Fellow in Nursing, Midwifery and Health at the University of Southampton and Co-Lead of the Methods & Analytics Team within ARC Wessex. She is a psychiatric epidemiologist whose research focuses on mental health and wellbeing across the life course, with particular interests in emotional regulation, health inequalities, longitudinal and linked data analysis, and methodological challenges such as missing data in population studies.
Within ARC Wessex, Corine provides methodological leadership and collaborates across a diverse portfolio of projects, supporting study design, data analysis, interpretation and dissemination. She is passionate about ensuring that patient, public and stakeholder perspectives inform every stage of the research process and works closely with communities, practitioners and policymakers to co-produce research that is both methodologically robust and relevant to real-world needs. Her current research combines epidemiological and methodological approaches to improve understanding of mental health needs and access to support.
