About
Nat is a transdisciplinary researcher who works across active research, and knowledge exchange with a policy focus.
Currently she is working on a project with the Universities Policy Engagement Network (UPEN) in the Research England funded UPEN Programmes. Her work on this is to develop the "Policy Engagement Readiness Index", a tool to support universities and research organisations to understand their effectiveness to inform and influence policy change.
In her time at Southampton she has juggled her own core research interests in air pollution, particularly at the interface of measurement, characterisation and pollution sources through to health and exposure, alongside her interests in knowledge exhange. She strives to instill the importance of being a policy-engaged researcher and support other academics through this process.
