Naveena completed her PhD at Durham University Business School. Her doctoral work investigated authentic leadership, and the notion of “authentic performances” examining two supposedly opposing constructs, authenticity, and impression management in conjunction.
Naveena served as the Departmental Head of Research for HRM and OB and Director for the Centre for Research on Work and Organisations (CRoWO) at the University of Southampton Business School between February 2023 to July 2026. Prior to joining Southampton in September 2020, Naveena was a Lecturer in Leadership/HRM at the School of Management, Swansea University where she led and taught modules including Leadership, Human Resource Management and Business ethics. At Swansea, Naveena held School level roles which include Athena SWAN academic Co-Chair, and Academic Integrity Officer.
Naveena has presented at several international conferences including European Group of Organization Studies, International Critical Management Studies conference, and International Studying Leadership Conference.
