Lucky contributes to teaching across foundation year and undergraduate engineering programmes. His teaching covers engineering mechanics, statics, internal combustion engines, electrical and electronic systems, programming, and computational modelling.
He has supported foundation year modules including GENG0003 Mechanical Science, GENG0004 Electricity and Electronics, and GENG0005 Engineering Principles. His undergraduate teaching includes FEEG1002 Statics Laboratory, SESM1016 Internal Combustion Engines, ELEC1300 Electrical and Electronic Engineering Laboratory, FEEG2001 Arduino Computing Laboratory, ELEC2301 Programming and Simulation of Electronic Systems, and FEEG3001 Finite Element Analysis using ANSYS and SolidWorks Simulation.
His teaching activities include laboratory demonstrations, tutorials, practical instruction, student mentoring, assessment, marking, and feedback, helping students develop theoretical understanding and practical engineering skills.
Lucky obtained his PhD in Engineering from the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research, University of Southampton, UK.
His research focuses on nonlinear structural dynamics, vibration energy harvesting, smart sensors, and self-powered sensing systems.
His research interests include structural health monitoring, railway vibration and intelligent transportation systems.
