About
Angela YT Chan is a researcher and artist investigating climate change narratives through colonial history, technology, and justice. She brings her background across art history and practice, human geography and data engineering into reflective interdisciplinary collaborations across activism, policy, journalism and academia.
Angela is currently the Research Fellow/Artist in Residence with Critical Infrastructure and Image Politics (WSA) and University of Southampton for SOUNDSCALE. She co-leads on developing artistic methods to critically explore ‘dark fibre’ infrastructural history, environmental and ethical issues, and what constitutes collective tech justice. Her activities in this include producing visual arts, low-tech game production, workshops, curation and writing.
