We're one of the largest groups of university statisticians in the UK researching statistics and demography methodologies. Whether it's improving the accuracy of census data or helping predict levels of air pollution, our work guides policymakers around the world.

Founded in 2018, the Centre explores structural, societal, legal and regulatory issues associated with gender discrimination, raises awareness, investigates the causes and seeks better solutions.

Our research focus and activities are in the fields of operations, supply chain, and their relevant disciplines.

We bring together colleagues from across the University, and work with experts from around the world to answer one of the most pressing questions of our time: “How will we choose to manage our planet for ourselves and future generations?”

Our group explores how to improve renewable energy sources and create more efficient electronic device technology to benefit the environment.

Established in March 2019, the University India Centre serves as a living bridge connecting world-leading scientists, policy experts, and stakeholders from Southampton and India to tackle critical global challenges. Guided by the University’s triple helix model, it accelerates impact through innovations in research, enterprise, education, and knowledge exchange, delivering evidence-based solutions for inclusive growth and sustainable development.

We research, teach and raise awareness of relations between Jews and non-Jews, from antiquity to the present day. Our aims are to promote interfaith dialogue and fight against prejudice and antisemitism.
